Hi everyone,
let’s continue the interview with Francesco about the workshops realized in Perù by the Italian volunteers, Barbara and Viola!
Francesca: “ Can you briefly describe us the workshops ?”
Francesco: “After a short theoretical overview, our first assignment has been to choose a very simple children fairy tale to give the chance to the volunteers to come into a collaborative relation with their children and the Peruvian teachers too. In brief, these kind of activities are generally defined as warm-up.
In this way, we have called the first cycle of workshops: Recorriendo los Colores, a drawing’s path in which it was possible to stimulate the children’s senses through the use of colors; and the second one, Recorriendo los Sentidos, a path with different objects specifically thought to stimulate the children’s perceptive senses.
For the second one we have chosen some children fairy tales from the Peruvian tradition: in this way the path to discover the senses has been related to a specific cultural environment.
Finally, the last workshop involves the idea of visual perception.
Well, I want to leave you with a little clue … in this workshop children become story tellers using a particular tool and they are going to write a story with the light … guess what ?
In conclusion, I can say that every workshop has been thought with the idea to connect mild stories with our sensorial peculiarities, and of course, we are impatient to listen to Barbara e Viola in Pisa with their main results and experiences.
See you soon … in Europe ! ciao Francesco
